Mrs. Jackie Sowell

Hi everyone! I am the high school counselor and I love my job at CHS!

I have been the counselor at CHS for four years, but I have been employed in the public school system as a teacher and teacher's aide for more than fifteen years. I have a great deal of experience that I feel is an asset.

I earned my bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Spanish from Tarleton State University and I was the outstanding graduate of the Department of English and Languages in 2005. I later attended Sul Ross State University where I earned my master's degree in Education with a specialization in English in 2013.  I completed my counselor's certification through the alternative certification program offered by Inspire Texas.

I am married to Matthew Sowell. who teaches dual credit music appreciation through Cisco College. We make our home with our beloved dogs and enjoy hanging out with our sons, Joshua and Carlos.
