School Health Advisory Council

The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) assists the district in ensuring that local community values are reflected in the health education program. The council will address the continued implementation of a coordinate health program including health education, physical education, health services, nutrition services, counseling, health school environment , staff health promotion and family/community involvement.

 

Our Role & Mission

Role:

SHAC is a group of representatives from different segments of the community that provide advice on coordinating school health programs that impact student's health and learning.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Coleman ISD SHAC is to coordinate an age-appropriate school health program that motivates and promotes safe and healthy lifestyles for all students.
