Degrees and Certifications:
Hello everyone!! My name is Jeanie Stevenson and I teach fourth grade science and social studies here at Coleman Elementary. This year will be my fourth year of teaching, as well as my fourth year teaching fourth grade! I am thrilled to be working at a school that is so devoted to taking care of every students needs.
I grew up in a small town here in Texas called Blum, population 399. After graduating from high school, I moved to Coleman and traveled back and forth to Cisco Junior College. I then met my now husband, who graduated from Coleman High School. We both then moved to Belton, TX to attened the Uniiveristy of Mary-Hardin Baylor. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Eduation in 2014.
Since I was a little girl, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I became a teacher in the hopes of being someone who impacts studnets lives, as much as my teachers impacted my life. I believe that students are the future and in order to help our future be great, I want to provide students with more then just knowledge, but with a love for learning and growing as a person.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my family and being outdoors. My husband and I have two little girls, Aubrey (3), she was born on April Fools, and Rilynn (1.5), she was born on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. We just bought a house at Coleman Lake, so we obviously spend most of our time out on the water.
