  • paw   Hufford Field Information

As football season begins, the administration of Coleman ISD wanted to share some information regarding seating, parking and expectations for behavior at Hufford Field.

Parking for vehicles with handicap parking tags is provided on the home side by pulling up to the gate and administrators on duty will open the gates and you may park along the fence. We are asking that no one stand along the fence so as to allow those who park in the handicap area to be able to see the game. Parking areas for all others are available on the streets surrounding Hufford Field and in the lot to the east of the field (visitors side).

Signs are up at Hufford Field to denote the various seating areas. The large center section/press box area of the home side is for adults, community members, and students who are seated with their family member. The section on the south end of the home side is for the Big Blue Band and for Coleman High School students. The north section is for Coleman Junior High and Elementary students. Students are reminded to be seated for all games and to walk – not run – when going to the restroom or concession stand.

Students are encouraged to attend all Bluecat games and support all of our teams. However, all students age 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in order to enter Hufford Field for all games this season.

Coleman ISD faculty, staff and administration appreciate your support. Go Bluecats!!

  • paw  5th & 8th Grade STAAR Scores Posted

The scores from the first round of STAAR 5th grade and 8th grade reading and math assessments have been posted on the following website. You can access your child's scores at the following website:
    https://www.texasassessment.com/
In the purple box on the right side of the page, please enter your child's Unique Student Access Code and your child's date of birth. Once you log into the Student Portal, you should find your child's state assessment results. If you do not have the access code, follow the link then click on "Find My Access Code".
Students who did not receive a passing score (Approaches Grade Level, Meets Grade Level, or Masters Grade Level) will be required to participate in tutorials between Monday, April 29 and Friday, May 10. Attendance will be recorded for all tutorial sessions.
The second administration of the STAAR assessments for 5th and 8th grades will be as follows:
    " Monday, May 13: math
    " Tuesday, May 14: reading
Please note that this is a short window between the first and second administrations of the 5th and 8th grade STARR assessments. It is critical that students participate in ALL tutorial sessions. The third and final administration will be held in late June.
Please remember that 5th and 8th grade students must receive a passing score on both the reading and math STAAR assessments in order to be promoted to the next grade.
Students who do not have a passing score on the 5th and 8th grade STAAR assessments will have a Personal Graduation Plan prepared. This plan will be sent to the parent for a signature when it is completed. Tutorials must start immediately since the window between administrations is so short.
