Announcements

  • Texas State Technical College Roadshow

Coleman county students were introduced to technical fields of study and their respective careers as Coleman ISD hosted a Texas State Technical College Road Show on November 8, 2010.   Coleman Junior High students were informed of the importance of higher education by Garolyn Jergins, the key note speaker from the Texas Workforce Commission. High School students from Coleman, Novice, Panther Creek, and Santa Anna then heard Ms. Jergins speak on the importance of higher education and the possibilities that come with education. Following the key note session, the high school students attended four sessions of their choice presented by TSTC faculty members. Students were able to choose from topics including wind and solar energy, agriculture technology, mechatronics, digital signage, computer technologies, health information, emergency medical technology, and automotive repair. Many thanks go to Suzanne Ryan, Coleman ISD Rural Technology Grant Facilitator, for making this road show available to students in Coleman…
